What is Green Skills Explorer?

Funded through the Young People's Jobs Fund (YPJF), the Green Skills Explorer programme supports Nottingham residents aged 18-24 who are unemployed or economically inactive to gain the skills, confidence and experience needed to access employment, training and progression opportunities within the growing green economy.

The programme offers a series of four-week courses focused on:

• Land Management and the Environment (delivered by Grow Notts CIC)

• Construction and Energy Performance (delivered by Nottingham College)

Each course is linked to a progression opportunity, helping participants move into employment, apprenticeships, further training, volunteering or work experience.

Participants will:

• Gain practical, hands-on experience

• Develop industry-relevant skills

• Achieve an accredited Level 1 qualification

• Explore careers within green sectors

• Build confidence and employability skills

• Be guaranteed an interview for a linked progression opportunity
